Camryn- Lessons and VRH Week 2
This week, I did not have lessons due to illness. My voice teacher sent me music to print, and begin learning. We discussed how the first step I needed to complete for the foreign language pieces is to translate the words! Once I do this, I may be able to understand what the song is talking about, and get an idea of what mood I need to portray. By doing these things, I will be able to make an emotional connection to the song, and learn how to reach those emotions out to the audience.
Today in VRH, I wanted to highlight Luke's performance. His presence was very strong, and he used many hand gestures to connect to the audience with his story. His voice was very clear, and so clean. I could hear his mouth open to let the sound break out of his body, and the space in his mouth filled the room with sound. His posture was very neat--his head did not come forward behind his neck/body, and his knees were slightly bent to help him keep a strong foundation in energy and help continue that energy to flow as he sang. It was very entertaining to watch, and I look forward to seeing everyone progress with their voice!
